Although we can trace our roots back to 25 June 1834, our Club, the Wakefield Archers, has existed in its present form since 1952. We run as an open club with an annually elected committee; as a non-profit making organisation, and our subscription fees pay the running cost of the Club.

During the Summer outdoor season, between April and September we shoot on the playing fields at Slazenger's Sports Club, Horbury, Wakefield, and we shoot from 6.30pm until late.

During the Winter indoor season, between September and April we shoot in the Sports Hall at the Queen Elizabeth Grammar School (QEGS) in Wakefield, and we shoot from 6.30 pm - 8.30 pm.

The Club has archers shooting olympic recurve bows, compound bows and longbows.

We are associated with GNAS, the YAA and NCAS, with insurance cover provided by GNAS.
