Selby Archers V The Wakefield Archers Interclub Ashes Tournament

Over two legs Selby and TWA held a direct head to head, true score event.
The direct head to heads, over several distances and bow types, was an opportunity for individual glory (it's not all about the bling, honest!), with these individual scores added together at the end of each leg for a shoot total. Both event totals generated the grand total, the winning score.
Where there was an archer missing, the opposing score on that head to head was not counted towards the final totals. Where there was a situation of 2 archers against 3, the two best scores from the 3 archers were counted towards the final score.
Both events were very well recieved by both clubs archers.

Leg 1 was held at Wakefield during what of the many heatwaves of the summer of '26, as can be seen from the lack of greenery on the field, we were blessed with some excellent shooting conditions.

Leg 2 was held at Selby. Not surprisingly for the time of year, we had slightly changeable conditions on the day, but this did nothing to dampen the spirts of the archers on both sides.

Many thanks to Selby, notably Crazzzy and Lez for their enthusiasm for the event. See you next year!
